Joel Fuentes

I am an Assistant Professor at Universidad del Bio-Bio, Chile. I previously worked at Intel and University of California, Irvine.
My research interests are compilers anddd accelerators.

Software Development

I develop computer programs mostly in C++. There is a set of projects in my repository on Github.

Research

My background focuses on compilers and high-performance computing (HPC), in particular GPU programming. In my PhD dissertation I proposed new concurrent data structures for CPU/GPU .

Teaching

I teach computer science classes at Universidad del Bio-Bio. At UC Irvine, I've been TA of some undergraduate and graduate classes.

Hobbies

My hobbies are skiing, photography and soccer.
